How It Works

PredictMarket is a football prediction trading game. This guide explains everything — from creating an account to buying positions, entering challenges, using AI features, and requesting payouts.

PredictMarket is a skill-based prediction game. AI recommendations and tips are suggestions only — they do not guarantee wins. You may lose tokens you purchase. Play responsibly.

What is PredictMarket?

A skill-based football prediction marketplace where you trade outcome positions on real matches.

PredictMarket is a football prediction trading platform. Instead of just picking a winner and waiting, you can buy and sell prediction positions on upcoming matches — just like a trading marketplace.

You use tokens (the platform's in-game currency) to participate. You can buy positions on match outcomes, sell positions you already hold before kickoff, compete in challenges, use AI-powered tools, and climb the leaderboard.

Tokens & Wallet

Tokens are the in-game currency. Every action on the platform uses tokens.

Your wallet holds your token balance. You have two balances:

Available Balance

Tokens you can spend right now on positions, challenges, and AI features.

Locked Balance

Tokens held as liability when you create a sell offer. Released when the offer is cancelled or settled.

How to get tokens: Purchase token packages using South African Rand (ZAR) via Paystack. Payments are processed securely — we never store your card details. Tokens are credited to your wallet after payment is verified.

How to earn tokens: Win prediction positions, rank on leaderboards, win challenges, or receive prizes from competitions.

Token Ledger

Every token movement is recorded permanently in your ledger — purchases, wins, losses, challenge entries, AI charges, and payouts. You can view your full history in your Wallet page.

Section 3

How Buying Works

Choose a match outcome, pick a sell offer, and confirm your position.

Open a match

Browse upcoming fixtures from the home page or Leagues section. Open a match to see available prediction markets.

Choose a market and outcome

Each match has markets like Match Winner Over / Under 2.5 Goals Both Teams Score. Pick the outcome you believe in.

Select a sell offer

On the market page you'll see user-created sell offers. Each offer shows the price in tokens, the outcome, and available liquidity. Choose the offer that best matches your view.

Confirm your position

Review the token cost and potential return, then confirm. Tokens are deducted from your available balance. Your position is now open.

Wait for the result

Markets lock automatically when the match kicks off. After the final whistle, the result is verified and winning positions are settled.

What happens if you win?

Your winning position is settled and tokens are credited to your available balance. Losing positions result in the tokens spent being forfeited.

Section 4

How Selling Works

Create a sell offer and earn tokens when another user buys it.

When you create a sell offer, you are offering another user the chance to buy an outcome position from you. If the outcome wins, you pay them. If the outcome loses, you keep the tokens they paid.

Choose your outcome and price

Pick the market outcome and the price in tokens you want to charge the buyer.

System locks your liability

To protect buyers, the system locks tokens from your wallet equal to your maximum liability (what you'd owe if the outcome wins). You cannot spend locked tokens elsewhere.

Offer goes live

Your offer is published on the market. Other users can browse it and buy from it.

Settlement

If the outcome wins: the buyer receives their payout from your locked tokens. If the outcome loses: your locked tokens are released and you keep the buyer's payment.

You can cancel an unfilled sell offer at any time before it is matched. When you cancel, your locked tokens are released back to your available balance.

Section 5

How Markets Work

Markets are open for trading until the match kicks off. Once locked, no new positions are allowed.

Each match has one or more prediction markets. A market represents a specific question about the match — for example, who wins, or whether more than 2.5 goals are scored.

The percentages displayed on each outcome reflect aggregate market sentiment — how all platform activity is distributed across the outcomes. They are not odds or guaranteed probabilities.

Section 6

Match Results & Settlement

Results are fetched from API-Football. Settlement is automatic and permanent.

After a match finishes, our system fetches the official result from API-Football. Once the result is confirmed, all positions on that fixture are settled automatically.

Match finishes

The match reaches full time. The API-Football result is synced to our database.

Settlement job runs

A background job verifies the confirmed result and processes every open position on the fixture.

Wallets updated

Winning positions receive token payouts. Losing positions are closed. All ledger entries are created.

Leaderboard updates

Your wins, profit, and ranking are recalculated and published to the leaderboard.

Settlement is based on the official API-Football result. In rare cases of data errors, match abandonment, or system failures, PredictMarket reserves the right to void affected markets.

Quick prediction games designed for daily engagement, streaks, and competitive play.

Challenges are structured mini-games separate from the main marketplace. They offer different ways to compete using your prediction knowledge.

Daily Streak

Make daily predictions to build your streak. Return every day to keep it alive.

Weekend Warrior

Pick predictions across curated weekend fixtures. Compete against all players.

Beat The Crowd

Score more when you go against the majority and turn out to be right.

TCS — The Correct Score

Predict the exact correct score for selected matches. Prize pool shared by winners.

Challenge entry fees are non-refundable once the round begins. In the event of fixture cancellation, affected picks may be voided and tokens refunded at our discretion.

AI Buy / AI Sell

Let our AI scan live market data and generate personalised buy or sell recommendations.

The AI Buy feature analyses available markets, current sell offers, market activity, and your token balance to suggest which positions to buy. The AI Sell feature reviews your open positions and suggests which ones may be worth selling before kickoff.

Select your preferences

Set your token range and preferences before starting an AI session.

AI generates recommendations

The AI scans available market data and returns a list of suggested buy or sell actions with reasoning.

You review and decide

You are always in control. Read the recommendations and decide which (if any) to act on.

Confirm actions

If you choose to act on a recommendation, confirm it manually. The AI does not take any action without your confirmation.

AI recommendations are suggestions only — not financial advice.
AI does not guarantee wins, profits, or any positive return.
You are fully responsible for reviewing and confirming any action.
A token fee is charged per AI session, whether or not you act on the recommendations.
Recommendation quality depends on the market data available at the time.

AI Tips

AI-generated football tips for upcoming matches — informational content only.

The Tips section provides AI-generated match tips based on publicly available match data, team statistics, league form, and historical patterns. Tips are generated using OpenAI models.

Tips are labelled with a confidence level and brief reasoning. They are published before matches for informational reading.

Tips are informational content only. We do not guarantee the accuracy or profitability of any tip. Do not make financial or wagering decisions based solely on AI tips.

Section 10

Payouts

Convert your earned token balance to cash via EFT. Subject to review and approval.

Where the platform supports payouts, you can request a conversion of your token balance to South African Rand (ZAR), paid to your bank account via EFT.

Submit a payout request

Navigate to your Wallet, click Request Payout, and enter your bank account details and the amount.

Review period

Payout requests are reviewed by the admin team. We may request identity verification.

Approval and processing

Once approved, payment is processed within 1–5 business days.

Minimum payout thresholds and maximum limits apply. Payouts may be withheld if fraud or policy violations are suspected. We are not responsible for delays caused by banking institutions.
